Deed – Heirs of Robert McMichael to John and Joseph Griffey, December 9, 1871

No. 94 [Deed] of Crayton Ledridge, John Griffy & Jos. Griffy fifty dollars in full for [ ] interest in the Haden farm about which there is now pending a [case] in the Anderson Circuit Court wherein G.D. McMichael, Charles Adams, & Amelia Adams are Plaintiffs and Robert McMichael is [Defendant]. Now we G.D. McMichael, Charles Adams and Amelia Adams for the consideration of fifty dollars hereby sell and convey our undivided interest in the aforesaid Haden farm supposed to contain 30 acres being the same land deeded to H.C. & G.D. McMichael by [Edny] Thurman which deed is here referred to for boundary & quality. It is only our interest divided from [Ed] Thurman under the deed aforesaid that we convey to the heir of Robert McMichael deceased, we being heirs in part of said Robert McMichael. Given under our hands this Dec. 9th 187[1].
State of Kentucky [Sct] I James M. Posey clerk of the Anderson County Court certify that this deed from G.D. McMichael, C. Adams, Ameriel E[dny] Adams and Sallie McMichael to C. Ledridge, John Griffy and Joseph Griffy [was] December 10th 187[1] produced unto me in my office and acknowledged by said G.D. McMichael & C. Adams to be their act and deed and December 13th 1870 was also acknowledged by said Ameriel E[dny] Adams and Sallie McMichael to be their act and deed according to law and lodged for record duly stamped as required by act of Congress. Whereupon said deed and this certificate have been duly admitted to record. Given under my hand this 19th day of February 1871. **Transcriber’s note: Robert McMichael died in Nov. 1870**
